Choosing a new cutting machine is a major investment, especially when it will become part of daily production. For one of our customers from Uzbekistan, the decision started with a real cutting test at the YUCHON factory.
The customer was looking for a reliable digital cutting solution for leather used in steering wheel production. Before placing the order, they traveled to China and visited our factory to see the machine, test the material and better understand the complete cutting process.
After seeing the cutting results firsthand, the customer decided to move forward with the YUCHON 1625A CNC cutting machine.
Testing the Machine Before Making the Decision
During the factory visit, our engineers prepared the machine and carried out a practical cutting demonstration based on the customer’s leather application.
Instead of simply introducing the machine through videos or technical specifications, the customer was able to watch the actual cutting process, check the finished leather pieces and discuss the application directly with our technical team.
For this project, the customer selected a 1625A with a single cutting head, configured with:
- Oscillating Cutting Tool – for precise cutting of leather patterns
- Punching Tool – for making round holes required in the leather pieces
- Pen Tool – for marking information or reference lines on the material
The combination of cutting, punching and marking functions provides a practical solution for processing different steering wheel leather patterns on one digital cutting system.
After the on-site test and technical discussion, the customer was satisfied with the cutting performance and confirmed the order.
A Digital Cutting Solution for Steering Wheel Leather
Steering wheel leather may look like a relatively simple material to process, but the finished pieces need to fit accurately during sewing and assembly.
With the YUCHON 1625A, cutting patterns can be prepared digitally and imported into the cutting software. The machine then follows the defined cutting path to process the leather automatically.
Compared with conventional manual cutting or cutting methods that rely heavily on physical patterns, a digital workflow makes it easier to handle different designs and production requirements.
The punching tool also allows the machine to process the required round holes during the same workflow, while the pen can be used when additional marking is needed.
For the customer, this means that several processing steps can be handled on the same machine without frequently changing the production setup.
From YUCHON Factory to the Customer’s Factory in Uzbekistan
Our work did not finish when the machine was shipped.
After the 1625A leather cutting machine arrived at the customer’s factory in Uzbekistan, YUCHON engineer Jack traveled to the customer’s site to provide technical support and operator training.
Jack worked directly with the customer’s team, helping them become familiar with the machine and its daily operation.
The training included machine operation, software use, cutting file preparation and importing, tool setup, cutting parameter adjustment, and practical leather cutting.
More importantly, the training was carried out around the customer’s actual application rather than only following a standard machine demonstration. The goal was to make sure the operators understood the complete process and could use the machine confidently in their own production.
Positive Feedback on YUCHON Service and Training
After the on-site training was completed, the customer shared positive feedback about the support provided by YUCHON and especially appreciated Jack’s training and technical assistance.
For us, this feedback means more than simply completing another machine installation.
The whole project went through several important stages: the customer visited our factory, tested the leather personally, selected the machine configuration, received the machine in Uzbekistan, and then completed practical training with our engineer.
This complete process helped the customer understand the equipment before purchasing it and become familiar with its operation after installation.

Every leather cutting application can be different. Material characteristics, pattern sizes, punching requirements and production methods can all affect the final machine configuration.
