A Growing Need for Multi-Material Cutting
A customer from Lima, Peru, specializing in advertising signage, display production, and customized packaging, was looking for a more efficient cutting solution for multiple materials.
Their production involved a wide range of materials, including corrugated cardboard, self-adhesive vinyl stickers, acrylic sheets, and KT boards. Traditional manual cutting methods were inefficient and inconsistent, while laser cutting created burnt and yellow edges on cardboard and acrylic materials, affecting the final appearance of high-end advertising products.
To improve cutting quality and production efficiency, the customer began searching for a CNC cutting solution capable of handling multiple materials within one workflow.
Pre-Sale Sample Testing Helped Build Confidence
Before placing the order, the customer requested cutting tests for several materials, especially 1-5mm acrylic sheets, 5mm cardboard and self-adhesive materials that required high edge quality.
According to the customer’s specific requirements, YUCHON CNC customized a perfect cutting solution for them. The YC-1625A was specially configured with double cutting tool holder, CCD camera, and a marking pen. Based on the customer’s material specifications and design files, YUCHON CNC engineers arranged sample testing and selected suitable tool configurations for different materials:
Oscillating knife cutting tool and kiss-cutting tool for corrugated cardboard and self-adhesive stickers
Milling cutting tool for acrylic sheet processing
Oscillating knife cutting tool for KT board shaping
The testing process was recorded and shared with the customer through videos and cutting detail photos.
After reviewing the cutting samples, the customer confirmed that the cutting edges were clean, without visible burning or burrs, especially on printed advertising materials and acrylic products.
Machine Installation and Production Feedback
After shipment to Peru, the CNC cutting machine 1625A was installed successfully at the customer’s factory.
