Recently, YUCHON CNC engineers traveled to Vietnam to provide on-site support and operator training for a factory within the LG supply chain.
The customer processes laminated nylon film bonded to thin stainless steel sheets. The material is used for protective components in home appliance production and requires stable kiss cutting performance with very precise blade control.
Before introducing YUCHON CNC equipment, the factory had mainly relied on European cutting systems for this type of production. Because of the strict quality requirements, the customer paid close attention to cutting consistency, blade adjustment accuracy, and machine stability during testing.
On-Site Material Testing and Machine Adjustment
After arriving on site, our engineers carried out cutting tests using the customer’s original materials and existing tooling setup. During testing, the material proved to be highly sensitive to blade exposure and pressure settings. Even small adjustments could affect the final cutting result.
To improve cutting stability, the engineering team adjusted machine parameters including:
- Table flatness
- Blade depth
- Gantry clearance
- Kiss-cutting pressure
The engineers also referenced the European machine’s tool structure and replaced the half-cutting tool spring with a softer version, which greatly improved the cutting result.
After several rounds of adjustment and testing, the machine achieved stable cutting performance across the full working area and met the customer’s production requirements.
The final cutting result received positive feedback from the customer, especially in terms of cutting consistency and machine stability.
In addition to machine setup, YUCHON CNC engineers provided face-to-face training for the customer’s technical staff, covering:
- Blade adjustment
- Tool calibration
- Kiss-cutting setup
- Daily machine adjustment procedures
By the end of the training, the operators were able to independently complete tool adjustment and calibration work.
